Hello! Let’s go
Tell is who you are in 140 characters, twitter style
I am 25 years old man who loves music. I wanted to be a painter but I realized that creating landscapes with sound is more interesting.
Which part of world are you from and what’s the best thing about it?
I am from Omsk, Russia. It is Siberia. We have an interesting climate, up to +40c in summer and down to -40c in winter. I love the people who live here because they are very kind for living in such severe place, many people here have such a strong spirit.
Describe yourself as a producer what is your style?
I like to create atmospheric and detailed soundscapes. At first my style was futuristic but now I am very close to the spirit, nature and the universe. I also love experimental Ambient.
What thing makes you happiest about the current music scene?
The best in the current music scene is that it is easily accessible. You can find almost anything that you want. I love digital releases simply because it is hard to find rare or limited albums on CD in our city and I prefer to pay directly to the artist and download his or her albums.
What thing makes you the saddest about the current music scene?
There is just too much music to choose from now takes a long time to find something brilliant, It is also hard for new musicians even the talented ones to be noticed.
How and where do you find new music?
I prefer to use http://www.cdbaby.com/ and http://bandcamp.com/
And don’t forget about my friends! They always have something interesting to share.
How and where do your find inspiration?
It can visit me anywhere and at anytime. The sources might be quite various. Such as books, films, games, music, even a walk from work..
Who are your favourite composers, producers or DJs at the moment?
They are: Andrew Forrest, Ishq, Lightwave, Ma Ja Le (Chris Short and Paul Vnuk Jr.), Matt Uelmen, Solar Fields, Vangelis, Wave World.
What’s your most memorable piece of music and what sort of things come to mind when you listen too it?
I think it was Andrew Forrest’s – Starseed. I was crying while listening it. The whole universe was shining inside me.
Give us your top five tracks from last year 2012?
I’ll give you top 3 albums from the last year:
Matt Uelmen – Torchlight II
Hans Christian & Harry Manx – You Are The Music Of My Silence
Bill Walker & Erdem Helvacioglu – Fields and Fences
What was the thoughts behind your track choice and placement for your mix on spacesfm?
I wanted to create a real journey from forests and jungles to high mountains and deep caverns at the end finding yourself in a endless desert. I combined futuristic and fantasy soundscapes into a 1 hour mix. I hope you will enjoy it.
What do you think you’ll be getting upto in the year 2020?
I hope to be raising my little baby-musician with my wife And I hope that something interesting will happen in the music world maybe with new music genres or instruments.
Any words of inspiration for the people out there?
Raise yourself, open yourself and muse will come to you for sure. Love music and it will love you too.
