The score for “A Reflection” – a short documentary on the life of Władysław Tomczyk by the guys at Variable in NYC. The imagery was so unbelievably stunning that I didn’t think I could score it at first glance – then I hired a few violinist friends of mine to help get it done. Strength lies in collaboration. I named the piece Diāna because of a girl I met earlier in 2012 while in New York City…She (Diāna) had been sex trafficked into the US and caught up into a life of sexual exploitation – her story lives with me, and now with this music. Whenever I walk the streets of NYC, this song is what plays in my head.
